		<description>Our client, an international bioscience company is seeking to recruit an Engineering Manager for their sites in the Edinburgh area. Reporting to the Operations Director, the role is responsible for the Management of the Engineering Team, Facility, Equipment and Plant Maintenance and for External Maintenance Contracts. Key accountabilities are to&#058; Evaluate breakdowns and perform repairs as required, and manage and carry out routine PPM and calibration of equipment. Co-ordinating with the appropriate user to ensure availability in line with agreed plan.Manage external contractors on site for PPM and repair.Provide specialist experience and advice for the assistance in hands on trouble-shooting in the maintenance and repair of process equipment and plant.Responsible for budgetary control as directed by Operations Director.Responsible for ensuring equipment documentation files and software is accurately updated as appropriate.Responsible for the preparation of appropriate documentation relating to engineering services to ensure compliance with Regulatory Requirements.Participate in programme of continuous training and assessment to maintain and develop professional skills.Manage and provide continuous on the job training for the engineering team.Participate in product&#47;process development projects in order to ensure the continuous development of activities.Assist the Operations Director to develop and review CAPEX plans for replacement&#47;new plant.Responsible for the management of stocks of spare parts for key pieces of plant and equipment.Assist in the validation and qualification of plant and equipment.Responsible for ensuring all duties undertaken are carried out to cGMP standards in line with Health &#38; Safety policies.Manage the department SOPs to ensure review and update is performed in a timely manner.Perform any duties as reasonably requested from the company from time to time.The ideal candidate will be educated to degree standard or equivalent with relevant Engineering experience, with a sound knowledge and expertise with Core IT packages (ie MS Office).
